Flash the latest nyanBOX firmware directly from your browser. No software installation required.
Browser Compatibility Required
This web flasher requires a Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave) with Web Serial API support. Safari and Firefox do not currently support Web Serial.
Before You Use Your nyanBOX
- Charging Safety: Before charging your nyanBOX, always turn off the device using the power switch located on the left side of the device. This helps protect the battery and ensures safe charging.
- Legal Notice: The nyanBOX is intended solely for educational, research, testing, and personal development purposes. Nyan Devices does not condone or accept responsibility for any unauthorized, unlawful, or improper use of this device.
- User Responsibility: Users are required to follow all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including—but not limited to—operating only on permitted frequencies and within legally allowed transmission power levels.
- Liability Waiver: Any misuse of the nyanBOX is entirely at the user's own risk. By using this device, you acknowledge and agree that Nyan Devices, its developers, and its affiliates are not liable for any damages, claims, actions, losses, or consequences arising from your use or misuse of the product.
Before You Flash
- Make sure your nyanBOX battery is switched off and connect the device via a USB-C cable
- Use a Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave)
- The flashing process will take a few minutes
- Do not disconnect the device during flashing
- Note: Erasing the device will clear all level data, saved settings, and progress
Troubleshooting
- If the device is not detected, try a different USB cable or port
- If you see "port already open" error, close any other programs/tabs using the device and refresh this page
- On Windows, you may need to install CP210x USB drivers
- If flashing fails, hold the BOOT button (top right button) when indicated by the page and keep it held until the page indicates you can release it
